When it comes to crop cover, a little local knowledge goes a long way. Choose AWB Crop Insurance and enjoy peace of mind knowing that you'll be looked after by a local who understands the needs of farmers.
With standard Pre-Harvest broadacre policies, you’re required to finalise the sum insured about 4 – 6 weeks prior to harvest. This is an estimate of what you think your crop might yield and can’t be changed after the Final Revision Date. Structured correctly, Pre-Harvest policies can still protect your crops, but there’s guess work involved and it’s always hard to know what your final yield will be.
If you’re after a cover that is more reflective of your season, a Post-Harvest policy is worth considering. With a Post-Harvest policy the amount you’re insured for remains flexible through to the harvest (subject to limitations)*.
Structured correctly, an AWB Post-Harvest policy reduces the likelihood of being either under or over insured – ensuring your cover and premium is more reflective of the crop’s potential yield.
* For full details about these limitations please refer to AWB’s Pre and Post-Harvest Crop Insurance Policies and the policy terms and conditions.
